In 1998, a court in Böblingen near Stuttgart sentenced Coolio to six months of probation and fined him $17,000 for being an accessory to robbery and causing bodily harm.

On September 17, 2016, Coolio and several of his crew were detained at Los Angeles International Airport after a loaded gun was discovered in a bookbag. The Transportation Security Administration detected the bag as the group went through a security checkpoint.

Witnesses claimed that the bag belonged to Coolio himself, but one of his security guards said it was his. For the felony, on October 26, 2016, in a Los Angeles courtroom, Coolio was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to perform 45 days of volunteer work.

Coolio married his wife Josefa Salinas in 1996 but divorced in 2000. In 2017, he tied up with his girlfriend Mimi. After swapping husbands with Mark McGrath, Mimi got that her relationship with Coolio did not gratify her and she leave. She went to him only six weeks after the show.

While Mimi got a break from Coolio, Mark’s wife Carin fight back with Coolio factually asleep while she cleaned toilets and floors all day. But it doesn’t work properly. Now Coolio is left single and to take care of himself.
