Early Life of Macklemore

Macklemore was born on June 19, 1983, in Kent, Washington. Her childhood name was Benjamin Hammond Haggerty. Her father is Bill Haggerty mother is Julie Schott. He was grown up with his brother Tim in Seattle.

At the age of six, he was picked up by the group Digital Underground’s music for radio, and that’s how hip hop originally arose in his life. He pays attention to a lot of East Coast hip hop. He began writing lyrics as a teenager.

As he sought to achieve the younger generation over his music. He joined a program Gateways for Confined Youth, where he systematized music workshops.

He attended Nathan Hale High School for his early education whereas he earned his bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College in 2009.

In 2000, Macklemore recorded a mixtape titled Open Your Eyes as Professor Macklemore, which he distributed himself and released on October 21, 2000.

He dropped his professional name and began working on his first official full-length album, which became The Language of My World.

On January 1, 2005, Macklemore released his debut album, The Language of My World. “Love Song,” the lead single, was announced on the same day. Budo subsequently worked on several more Macklemore tracks as a producer.

In 2006, Macklemore first met Ryan Lewis, who would go on to collaborate with him as Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Lewis spent a few years working on Macklemore’s photography promotion while he worked with Haggerty as Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The two musicians became good friends but did not formalize their collaboration until 2009.

In 2009, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis formed the collaboration as a duo. They released The VS. EP in 2010. In December 2009, they premiered “Irish Celebration” ahead of the release of THE vs., which was released in March 2010.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis started a multi-city tour in Seattle, Washington, in February 2011. A music venue in Seattle, Showbox at the Market, hosted three sold-out concerts.

That year, Macklemore performed at numerous U.S. music festivals including Bumbershoot, Outside Lands, Lollapalooza, Rock the Bells, SoundSet, Sasquatch, and Bonnaroo.

On January 15, 2016, Macklemore announced the name of his third studio album and its release date on his YouTube channel, revealing This Unruly Mess I’ve Made as the title. It was set to be released on February 26, 2016.

The pair released their second album, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, on January 22, 2016. On February 26th, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis launched This Unruly Mess I’ve Made.

On June 15, 2017, Macklemore released “Glorious,” the lead single from his second solo studio album Gemini, as part of a surprise release on Spotify. On July 26, Macklemore debuted “Marmalade,” featuring Lil Yachty, as the second single from his next project.

On December 11, 2017, Macklemore announced a co-headlining tour with Kesha called The Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore.

This is Macklemore’s fifth headlining tour, promoting his album Gemini, and Kesha’s sixth headlining tour, promoting her third solo album Rainbow (2017). The tour began in Phoenix on June 6 and ended in Tampa on August 5, 2018.

Macklemore got engaged to his girlfriend Tricia Davis on January 21, 2013. Both had been dating for the past seven years.

On May 29, 2015, he and his wife-to-be had their first child. Following the birth of their daughter Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty, the couple get married on June 27, 2015.

He is a very loving father and wants to devote as much time as he can to his daughter. He has now built a recording studio in the basement of his home so that he can look after her all over the day.
